Policies.

Delivery

We deliver across Edmonton, next business day when you order before 8 pm. Delivery is free on orders over $75. Between $35 and $75 there's a flat $10 fee; under $35, delivery isn't available — please choose free pickup instead. You pick your delivery day at checkout.

Free pickup is available to everyone, for any order size — choose a pickup date and time slot at checkout, and we'll have your order ready. We confirm the pickup address and your slot by email.

We don't deliver outside the Edmonton area at this time, but pickup is open to anyone.

Returns & refunds

Because we sell food, opened or consumed items can't be returned, for everyone's safety. That said, we stand behind everything we send:

• If something arrives damaged, leaking, or incorrect, email us within 48 hours with a photo and we'll replace it or refund it — your choice.
• If you're unhappy with an unopened item, tell us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
• Orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before they're dispatched. Once a delivery is on its way, it can't be cancelled.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Gift boxes are made to order; cancellations follow the same before-dispatch rule.

Terms of sale

The Good Salt is a curated specialty‑food shop based in Edmonton, Alberta. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. As a small local business, we don't currently charge GST — the price you see is the price you pay (plus any delivery fee).

We curate a small, changing shelf. Items are subject to availability; if something sells out after you order, we'll contact you to substitute or refund. Best-before dates are honoured — we don't sell expired stock. Product images and producer information are provided in good faith; packaging and recipes occasionally change.

It is your responsibility to check ingredients and allergens on the product before consuming. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to fulfil your order — your name, contact details, delivery address, and order history. We use it to process and deliver your order and, if you opt in, to email you the occasional note about new arrivals.

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone. You can ask us to access or delete your data any time at hello@thegoodsalt.ca.
